On February 23, 2025, on the eve of the third anniversary of the full-scale Russian invasion, a rally in support of Ukraine was held in the heart of Istanbul, on Şişhane Square.
It was attended by representatives of the families of missing persons, prisoners of war, and illegally convicted defenders of Ukraine. This was reported by Ukrinform with reference to the Consulate General of Ukraine in Istanbul.
We see how our joint efforts are becoming a symbol of hope and strength. Every voice of support inspires us to fight for peace and justice. Today’s rally is a real proof that Ukraine is never alone in its struggle,” said Roman Nedilsky, Consul General of Ukraine in Istanbul, in his speech at the rally.

The diplomat emphasized that the unity of the people is the strongest weapon in this difficult time.

After the rally, the participants solemnly unfurled the Ukrainian flag as a symbol of the unity and indestructibility of the Ukrainian people.

The event was attended by relatives of missing persons, prisoners of war and illegally convicted persons of the 115th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, representatives of the Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar communities, the Office of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, Ukrainian diplomats, friends of Ukraine from Turkey and other countries.
As reported by Ukrinform, a rally was held in the Ukrainian Park in Ankara to mark the 3rd anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
