Denmark will allocate DKK 405 million ($57 million) for humanitarian aid and reconstruction efforts in Ukraine.

That’s according to Barron’s, citing AFP.

“Three years after Russia’s full-scale invasion, Ukraine is left with a huge reconstruction need with significant destruction of infrastructure and production capacity,” the Danish Foreign Ministry said.

The humanitarian situation was still “very serious”, it added, citing a UN estimate that nearly 13 million people in Ukraine would need humanitarian assistance in 2025.

The aid package will be split, with half dedicated to humanitarian aid and going to “basic relief such as food, medicine, water and shelter to Ukrainians in the most affected areas.” The other half will go to reconstruction efforts.

“Denmark has said we will stand by Ukraine for as long as it takes,” said Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen.

This donation brought the total humanitarian aid to Ukraine from Denmark since the invasion to over one billion kroner ($140 million), he noted.

Danish military aid to Ukraine has amounted to some $7.5 billion during the same period.

According to Sweden Herald, citing NTB, Norway will provide Ukraine with NOK 12.5 billion ($1.1 billion), focusing on humanitarian aid and energy security.

This funding is part of Norway’s Nansen Support Program for Ukraine, approved by the Norwegian parliament in November for 2025. Of the total funds, NOK 12.5 billion will go toward civilian and humanitarian support, while NOK 22.5 billion will be allocated for military aid.

“Both the military and civilian needs in Ukraine are enormous. The war has led to great suffering and massive destruction. It is absolutely necessary to continue the civilian support to Ukraine,” Norway’s Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store said.

Sweden has also announced that it will provide Ukraine with air defense systems worth SEK 1.2 billion (over $127 million). This is part of Sweden’s broader support package totaling SEK 13.5 billion, announced in January.

During his visit to Kyiv, Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson stated that Sweden would announce an additional EUR 100 million on Monday to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense.

“For the past three years, the Ukrainian people have been fighting for freedom and security – theirs and ours. Today, we are announcing 100 million euro to support Ukraine’s air defenses. Strengthening Ukraine’s capability to defend itself against Russian aggression also increases our security,” Kristersson wrote on X.
