President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky expressed hope that the United States would continue to support Ukraine like other countries.
He said this during a meeting with media representatives, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“We very much hope that the United States will continue to support us like other partners. Of course, we need not to lose this unity between Europe and the United States,” he said.
As Ukrinform reported, a few days ago, US House Speaker Mike Johnson said that there was “no appetite” for a new bill with large-scale aid for Ukraine.
US President Donald Trump made a claim about USD 350 billion in aid to Kyiv: “We have given Kyiv, I think, USD 350 billion… But where is all the money that was given? Where is it going? Nobody-I’ve never seen any reports on this. We give hundreds of billions of dollars. I don’t see any reporting.”
President Volodymyr Zelensky responded to Trump’s accusations by saying that spending on weapons during the war has already amounted to USD 320 billion, of which USD 200 billion was provided by partners.
