General Staff confirms strikes on Saki, Kacha airfields, Tuapse oil refinery

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has confirmed the strikes on military airfields in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukrainian Crimea, as well as the Tuapse oil refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar territory.

As reported by Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shared this information on Facebook.

“Units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ unmanned systems, the Main Intelligence Directorate, in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces, carried out strikes on a number of strategic Russian military targets in Russia’s Krasnodar territory and the temporarily occupied territory of Ukrainian Crimea during at nighttime on February 26, 2025. Among other things, fire strikes targeted military airfields Saki and Kacha, as well as the Tuapse oil refinery,” the statement reads.

The Tuapse oil refinery processes crude oil with a declared capacity of 12 million tons per year. More than 90% of the produced petroleum products are exported. The refinery is also heavily involved in supporting the Russian occupation forces.

At least 40 explosions were recorded near the refinery. There is information about damage to the refinery’s infrastructure.

The results of the strikes are being clarified.

“Strikes on military and strategic targets involved in supporting Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine will continue,” the General Staff assured.

As Ukrinform reported, overnight on February 26, the Main Intelligence Directorate, together with other Ukrainian Defense Forces units, carried out a strike on the Tuapse oil refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar territory.
