
There are still 55 children in the settlements of Donetsk Oblast where children are being evacuated by force.
This was announced at an online briefing by Serhiy Honcharov, head of the civil protection planning, emergency response and civil protection training division of the civil protection organization and territory department of the civil protection, mobilization and defense department of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Today, the compulsory evacuation of children from 10 settlements of Volnovakha and Pokrovsk districts continues, where a total of 55 children remain,” Honcharov said.
He noted that as of now, a total of 13,661 children have been forcibly evacuated from Donetsk region with their parents or persons in loco parentis and other legal representatives.
According to Honcharov, all children were evacuated forcibly from 252 settlements of the region designated by the relevant decisions.
He emphasized that the military situation in the region has significantly escalated over the past week, so he once again called on all parents with children to evacuate to safer regions of Ukraine.
As reported, the forced evacuation of children with their families in Donetsk Oblast began on April 7, 2023. About 300,000 civilians remain in the region.
