Russia’s casualty toll in Ukraine war rises by 1,060 in past day

Russia suffered approximately 874,560 casualties in Ukraine between February 24, 2022 and February 28, 2025, with 1,060 soldiers killed or wounded in the past 24 hours.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

“Due to the continuous influx of updated intelligence data, adjustments have been made to some categories of the enemy’s overall losses, including personnel, armored fighting vehicles, artillery systems, MLRS, air defense systems, cruise missiles, vehicles, and specialized equipment,” the post said.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukraine’s defense forces have destroyed 10,222 (+13) Russian tanks, 21,234 (+17) armored fighting vehicles, 23,847 (+54) artillery systems, 1,303 (+1) multiple rocket launchers, 1,087 anti-aircraft warfare systems, and 3,085 cruise missiles. The Russian army has also lost 370 warplanes, 331 helicopters, 27,274 (+172) tactical unmanned aerial systems, 28 warships/cutters, 1 submarine, 38,994 (+126) vehicles and fuel trucks, and 3,763 (+4) pieces of special equipment.
