European leaders have expressed support for Ukraine after President Volodymyr Zelensky met with US President Donald Trump at the White House on February 28.
This was reported by Ukrinform.
“Ukraine, Spain stands with you,” Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez wrote in Ukrainian on the social network X.
Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said that the only obstacle to peace is Putin’s decision to continue his war of aggression.
“If Russia stops fighting, there will be no war. If Ukraine stops fighting, there will be no Ukraine. Estonia’s support to Ukraine remains unwavering. Time for Europe to step up,” he added.
In turn, former EU High Representative Josep Borrell criticized the American leaders at the meeting with Zelensky.
“Trump and Vance have put on a disgraceful show. I am ashamed of that behavior. The U.S. deserves something better. The free world must support Ukraine. I was and still am with Zelensky,” he wrote.
As reported by Ukrinform, a dispute arose between Trump and Zelensky, and the President of Ukraine left the White House early.
US President Donald Trump said that President Volodymyr Zelensky was “not ready for peace.”
