The High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine (HACC) has sustained a claim filed by the Ukrainian Justice Ministry and recovered in favor of the state the assets of TATNEFT named after V.D. Shashin PJSC.
The relevant statement was made by the ministry’s press service, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
Following the court’s decision, Ukraine recovered the equity rights of the companies directly owned by Tatneft, namely 100% of shares in the authorized capital of Tatneft-AZS-Ukraine; 92.98% of shares in the authorized capital of Kharkiv-Capital LLC; and 88.97% of shares in the authorized capital of Poltava-Capital LLC.
The above companies own oil depots, filling stations, non-residential buildings, land plots, fuel trucks and motor vehicles on the territory of the Kharkiv and Poltava regions.
The HACC’s decision can be appealed within five days after its full text is published on the website of the court.
As noted by the ministry, TATNEFT named after V.D. Shashin PJSC is one of Russia’s largest industrial conglomerates specializing in the production, processing and sale of petroleum products. This strategically important company consistently pays significant taxes to Russia’s budget, providing financing for the development and support of Russia’s military and industrial complex.
Tatneft’s enterprises strengthen Russia’s energy and economic potential, which is used by the aggressor to wage a war against Ukraine. For example, one of Group’s key assets, TANECO oil and gas company, makes about 20 types of products, including aviation kerosene and diesel fuel, which are supplied to Russian military and industrial enterprises.
A reminder that, in June 2024, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) allowed Ukrnafta PJSC to acquire over 50% of shares in the companies affiliated with Russia’s Tatneft.
