The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to introduce changes that will allow internally displaced persons (IDPs) to receive rental subsidies in Kharkiv and Sumy.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this at a government meeting on Friday, Ukrinform reports.
“We will settle the issue of rental subsidies for IDPs. We are introducing technical changes that will allow internally displaced persons to receive such subsidies for renting housing in Kharkiv and Sumy,” he said.
At the same time, Shmyhal noted that the Cabinet of Ministers has adopted a decision to re-accrue subsidies to people who did not receive them due to late submission of data. According to the Prime Minister, this especially relates to people of apartment building co-owners associations and “service providers submitted information with a delay or did not submit it at all.”
As Ukrinform reported, Ukraine has issued the first subsidy for renting housing for internally displaced persons. A family living in the Zakarpattia region was assigned UAH 4.7 thousand in monthly payments.
