Summit on Ukraine begins in London

A summit on the situation in Ukraine has begun in London.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the press service of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

“A summit on the situation in Ukraine has commenced in London… The summit, organized by UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, will address the challenges facing Ukraine and all of Europe, the fight against Russian aggression, and pathways to a just and lasting peace. Discussions will focus on strengthening Ukraine’s position by ensuring continued military assistance and increasing economic pressure on Russia,” the statement reads.

It is noted that as a result of the meeting, allies will coordinate their positions, develop a joint action plan, and concrete steps to end the war with a just peace and provide Ukraine with reliable security guarantees.

The summit is attended by leaders from Ukraine, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Italy, Spain, Canada, the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Poland, Romania, Finland, France, the Czech Republic, and Sweden, as well as Turkey’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and European Council President António Costa.

As reported by Ukrinform, on Saturday in London, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer discussed steps to end the war with a just peace, security guarantees, and concrete actions to strengthen Ukraine’s position.
