Poland has ordered nearly 25,000 Starlink terminals for Ukraine. The standard service subscription for one terminal costs Warsaw almost 5,500 UAH per month.
This information was provided by the Ministry of Digitalization of Poland in response to an informational inquiry from a Ukrinform correspondent.
According to the ministry, under the initiative of the Polish Minister of Digitalization, in 2022-2023, as many as 19,560 Starlink terminals were purchased and loaned to Ukraine. At the end of 2024, Poland acquired 5,000 more terminals, which are currently being gradually handed over to Ukraine.
The standard service subscription for one Starlink terminal costs approximately 5,500 UAH per month (528.90 Polish zloty gross). Meanwhile, a special subscription costs around 14,000 UAH per month (1,383.75 Polish zloty gross).
The ministry noted that, in accordance with the Law on Assistance to Citizens of Ukraine due to the Armed Conflict in the Territory of Ukraine of March 12, 2022, Poland will cover the subscription fees for Starlink terminals for Ukraine until the end of September this year.
As reported, on February 25, the Starlink project by the American company SpaceX dismissed “rumors” about supposedly limiting Ukraine’s access to its satellite internet system, stating that “Starlink is fully committed to providing services to Ukraine.”
