
In February, Russian troops conducted about 150 assaults in Southern Ukraine. The defense forces destroyed nearly 2,000 occupants and 11 enemy tanks in this area over the month.
This was stated by Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces, in a commentary to Ukrinform.
“In February, the situation was quite tense, the enemy fired at the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces and the territories of settlements adjacent to the combat line, and actively used all types of weapons. Over a month, it carried out about 120 assault operations in the Zaporizhzhia sector, about 30 in the Prydniprovia sector, and almost 8,500 attacks from artillery,” Voloshyn said.
In addition, according to the spokesman, the enemy used more than 12,500 FPV drones, more than 8,000 drones were working on drops. The Russians also dropped more than 450 guided bombs and fired more than 700 unguided missiles.
Voloshyn informed that in February, the Southern Defense Forces destroyed almost 2,000 occupants, 11 tanks, seven Buk-3M, Buk-1, 2S4 Tulip heavy self-propelled mortars, Tor-2M systems, Strila-10, three BM21 Grad, as well as a large number of artillery systems, including Gvozdika and Hyacinth self-propelled artillery systems and others.
He also added that compared to January, the intensity of Russian actions was almost at the same level, but in the last days of February the enemy became somewhat more active – the number of attacks and the number of assaults increased slightly, in particular, in the Zaporizhzhia direction.
As reported by Ukrinform, the total combat losses of Russian troops since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, from February 24, 2022, to March 7, 2025, amount to about 882,950 people, including 1,150 people over the past day.
