Injury toll from Russian airstrikes in Kostiantynivka rises to eight

In Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region, the number of people injured in Russian shelling has risen to eight.

The press service of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office announced this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

“On March 8, 2025, between 09:25 and 09:35, the Russian Armed Forces shelled Kostiantynivka. The enemy carried out five airstrikes on the city, most likely using FAB-250 bombs with a universal planning and correction module. In a residential area, men aged 29, 32, and 33, as well as women aged 48 and 75, sustained injuries. They were taken to the hospital with blast injuries, shrapnel wounds, concussions, and lacerations,” the statement said.

The prosecutor’s office noted that the condition of two of the victims is critical.

Just two hours later, the enemy again attacked the city, this time using Smerch rocket artillery. Two women, aged 60 and 78, and a 47-year-old man were injured. They were diagnosed with concussions and shrapnel wounds.

Among the damaged objects were apartment buildings, private houses, a hospital, shops, a pharmacy, cars, and power and gas lines.

Under the procedural guidance of the Kostiantynivka District Prosecutor’s Office, pre-trial investigations have been initiated into the war crimes (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
