Starmer’s approval rating rises amid diplomatic efforts on Ukraine

The number of Britons who believe UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer is doing a good job has increased as the politician is strengthening his role in diplomacy regarding the war in Ukraine.

Reuters reports this with reference to data from an Ipsos poll for The Times, Ukrinform saw.

According to the poll, 30% of Britons believe Starmer is doing a good job as prime minister against 23% last month. At the same time, 45% of respondents believe he is doing a bad job.

The poll data showed that 44% of Britons believe that government spending on defense should be increased, even if this means additional government borrowing, higher taxes or less money for other public services. In February, 42% of respondents held this opinion.

It is noted that the Ipsos company surveyed 981 adults aged 18 to 75 across the United Kingdom.

As reported, the rating of French President Emmanuel Macron has risen to its highest level since June, as the leeader insists on European efforts to support Ukraine.
