On Wednesday, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha will be in Warsaw to inform his Polish counterpart Radoslaw Sikorski about the progress of the talks in Jeddah.
Sikorski said this in a commentary to journalists on Tuesday in Warsaw, answering the question whether he knew about any first agreements between the parties in Saudi Arabia, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Not yet, but the Ukrainian Foreign Minister will be at my office tomorrow morning and will inform me about it,” Sikorski said.
He called the fact of Ukrainian-American talks in Saudi Arabia “very good.”
Answering a question about Poland’s expectations from these talks, Sikorski noted that Polish diplomacy “works for a just peace where the rights of the victim of aggression are respected.”
Sikorski expressed satisfaction that the United States confirmed the continued uninterrupted operation of Starlink terminals in Ukraine, which are paid for by Poland under a commercial agreement with SpaceX.
As Polish Foreign Ministry spokesman Pawel Wronski said earlier in a comment to the agency, the dispute that arose over the weekend on social network X between Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski, on the one hand, and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Elon Musk, on the other, over the use of Starlink terminals by the Ukrainian army has positive effects for Ukraine.
Poland has ordered almost 25,000 Starlink terminals for Ukraine. A standard subscription for one terminal costs almost UAH 5,500 per month, and a special subscription costs UAH 14,000.
