About 286,000 civilians remain in Donetsk Oblast, and mandatory evacuation in the region continues.

This was stated at an online briefing by Dmytro Petlin, head of the department of operational and emergency service, communication, warning and public information of the Department for Civil Protection, Mobilization and Defense of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Evacuation measures continue. As of yesterday (11.03.25), about 1 million 214 thousand civilians were evacuated from the government-controlled areas of Donetsk region. As of yesterday, about 286,000 civilians remain in the territory of the region controlled by the Ukrainian authorities,” Petlin said.

The RMA reminded that the mandatory evacuation of civilians in the government-controlled territory of Donetsk region has been in place since August 2, 2022.

As reported, as of February 26, 2025, about 300,000 civilians remained in the Donetsk region controlled by Ukraine.
