
Ukrainian taxpayers transferred a total of UAH 51.2 billion in military tax to the budget in 2024. In just the first two months of 2025, they have already paid UAH 22.1 billion.
This information comes from the State Tax Service, according to Ukrinform.
For the first two months of 2025, military tax revenues amounted to UAH 22.1 billion. This is UAH 16.1 billion, or 3.7 times more compared to the same period in 2024, when UAH 5.99 billion was paid.
In January-February 2025, the revenues were distributed as follows by taxpayer category:
- The main part, UAH 19.1 billion, came from personal income;
- UAH 1.36 billion was received from individual entrepreneurs on the simplified taxation system (groups I, II, and IV);
- UAH 30.1 million from legal entities under the simplified taxation system (group III);
- UAH 273 million from individuals based on the results of the annual declaration;
- UAH 1.37 billion from the placement of domestic government bonds (including by individuals) and from accruals for social payments.

As reported, on November 28, 2024, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law (draft law No. 11416d) to increase taxes, including the military fee. The tax changes came into effect on January 1, 2025. Among the key changes adopted by Parliament are: increasing the military tax from 1.5% to 5%, while keeping it at 1.5% for military personnel; raising taxes for sole proprietors in groups I, II; and introducing a 1% tax for all forms of sole proprietorships in group III.
