A total of 140 combat engagements have been confirmed along the frontlines of the Russo-Ukrainian war over the past day.
That’s according to the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, Ukrinform reports.
Yesterday, the Russians launched 65 airstrikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and at settlements, having released 81 glide bombs, as well as almost 2,200 kamikaze drones.
The enemy also carried out 5,300 artillery strikes, including 88 involving multiple rocket launchers.
Russian airstrikes targeted Medvedivka and Semenivka in Chernihiv region; Myropilske, Petrushivka, Turia, Uhroidy, and Mykhailivske in Sumy region; Kozacha Lopan in Kharkiv region; Novodarivka, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, and Yehorivka in Zaporizhia region.
Over the past day, Ukraine’s aviation, missile and artillery units hit 16 Russian manpower and equipment clusters, two artillery systems, and an arms and equipment depot.
In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy unsuccessfully attempted to advance 10 times in the area of Vovchansk and toward Mala Shapkivka.
In the Kupiansk direction, five Russian attacks were recorded yesterday. Ukraine’s Defense Forces repelled assaults near Petropavlivka and Zahryzove.
In the Lyman direction, Russian troops attacked 12 times, trying to advance near Yampolivka, Nadiia and toward Zelena Dolyna and Nove.
In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian troops held back two enemy attacks in the Verkhniokamianske area.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the Russian army launched six attacks in the areas of Chasiv Yar, Kurdiumivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, and in the direction of Markove and Predtechyne.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian units 21 times in the areas of Ozarianivka, Druzhba, and Toretsk.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders held back 39 Russian assaults in the areas of Oleksandropil, Zelene Pole, Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Kotlyne, Preobrazhenka, Kotliarivka, Zvirove, Udachne, Andriivka, and toward Oleksiivka.
In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled nine attacks in the Kostiantynopil area.
In the Hulyaipole direction, the Defense Forces successfully repelled two Russian assaults toward Pryvilne and Vilne Pole.
In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian defenders held back three attacks in the Shcherbaky and Stepove areas.
In the Prydniprovia direction, three Russian assaults were choked.
In Kursk region, Ukrainian forces have repelled 21 Russian attacks over the past day. The invaders launched 27 airstrikes, using 33 KAB glide bombs, and carried out 209 artillery strikes, including three with the use of MLR systems.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, Ukraine so no signs of any offensive groupings being formed across the border.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, Russia’s war casualty toll has reached an estimated 898,070, including 1,060 killed or wounded in action in the past 24 hours.
