“The enemy continues to target Ukrainian hospitals, once again violating all norms of international humanitarian law! Last night, two medical facilities in Sumy region suffered devastating strikes. …Yet another ‘confirmation’ of Russia’s willingness for a ceasefire…” Dubrov wrote.
In Sumy, according to him, the Russian shelling damaged the technical floor and shattered the windows of the regional hospital.

“At the time of the attack, there were about 150 patients and staff in the facility. All patients were evacuated to other departments. Thanks to the well-coordinated evacuation, there were no casualties,” Dubrov noted.
The enemy also targeted the district hospital in Krasnopillia with kamikaze drones.
“As a result of the strike with six kamikaze drones, the building suffered significant damage and caught fire. Fortunately, the staff and patients were in the shelter. Sixty people were evacuated, including seven patients with limited mobility,” Dubrov wrote.

The Deputy Minister emphasized that Ukraine’s healthcare system continues to function even under such conditions. All evacuated patients are receiving the necessary medical care.
Earlier on Wednesday, emergency services were working to eliminate the aftermath of the Russian attack on the medical facility in Sumy.
As reported by Ukrinform, according to the Ministry of Health, in the three years of Russia’s full-scale war, over 2,000 medical facilities have been damaged or destroyed.
