The Ukraine issue has become increasingly relevant to Americans in recent weeks, despite widespread budget cuts in the U.S. government, new tariffs, market downturns, and other domestic challenges. This growing interest is also reflected in a surge of public donations in support of Ukraine.

Maryna Baydyuk, President of United Help Ukraine, said this in an interview with Ukrinform.

Asked whether Americans still pay attention to events in Ukraine, Baydyuk said: “In fact, even more than they did a year ago.”

She noted that this is evident from the numerous messages and letters the organization continues to receive, adding that public support has been overwhelming. She recalled the meeting between the Presidents of Ukraine and the United States in the Oval Office on February 28, after which thousands of messages of support began pouring in from Americans.

According to Baydyuk, donation volumes have also increased significantly.

“Over the past month, donations have increased by approximately three to four times. These are big numbers. So I can confidently say that everyday Americans care about and support Ukraine,” she said.

United Help Ukraine has raised and delivered approximately $75 million in aid to Ukraine since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale war.
