One person killed, industrial site hit in Russian drone attack on Sumy

Russia has launched another drone attack on Sumy, killing one person and damaging an industrial facility.

Acting Mayor Artem Kobzar announced this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

He said that three Shahed-type drones hit an industrial building in the city.

“Today, we recorded three hits by Shahed drones targeting industrial infrastructure,” he wrote.

Later, Kobzar provided further details.

“All three drones struck the same facility. The building sustained damage, and the roof was destroyed. Preliminary reports confirm one fatality. Another person has sought medical assistance,” he said in an updated statement on his Telegram channel.

Emergency services are working at the scene.
