Between 00:00 and 12:00 on Sunday, April 20, Russian forces carried out 26 assault operations along the front.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

“A new report by Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi on the frontline as of 12:00 p.m. on Easter Day. Despite Ukraine declaring a symmetrical approach to Russian actions, an increase in Russian shelling and the use of kamikaze drones has been observed since 10:00 a.m. – with FPV drone usage alone doubling by the Russian army. The most active Russian operations this morning have been carried out in the Pokrovsk and Siversk directions. In these and several other areas of the frontline, Russia continues to use heavy weaponry. Between midnight and noon today, Russian forces have already carried out 26 assaults,” he said.

He stressed that Ukraine is documenting every Russian violation of its self-declared commitment to a full ceasefire for the Easter period and are prepared to provide the necessary information to partners.

“In practice, either Putin does not have full control over his army, or the situation proves that in Russia, they have no intention of making a genuine move toward ending the war, and are only interested in favorable PR coverage. It’s a good thing, at least, that there were no air raid sirens,” Zelensky said.

The president thanked all the media, podcasters, bloggers, and everyone sharing the truth about what is happening.

“Instead of broadcasting religious service from Moscow, the focus should be on pressuring Moscow to genuinely commit to a full ceasefire and to maintain it for at least 30 days after Easter – to give diplomacy a real chance,” Zelensky stressed.

As reported by Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that as of the morning of April 20, 59 Russian attacks and five assault operations by Russian units were recorded in different sectors of the frontline.
