
Over the past week, Russian forces deployed 2,087 drones against the Kherson region, with approximately 80% successfully neutralized.
Lieutenant Pavlo Drohal, spokesperson for the Kherson Operational and Tactical Group, stated this at a briefing, Ukrinform reports.
“In total, from April 21 to April 27, the Russian occupation forces carried out 418 attacks on the positions of Ukrainian defenders and civilian infrastructure. Additionally, the invaders launched two missile strikes and seven air strikes,” Drohal stated.
The Russian forces continue to deploy a variety of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), including FPV drones. Of the 2,087 UAV uses recorded, 606 occurred within the Kherson territorial community. Ukrainian EW systems successfully destroyed or suppressed 1,685 FPV drones, including 483 within the Kherson community.
The Kherson Regional Military Administration confirmed that approximately 80% of the UAVs were neutralized through EW measures.
As reported by Ukrinform, during the week of March 31 to April 6, 2025, Russian forces launched over 1,800 drone attacks on the Kherson region, with Ukrainian Defense Forces suppressing and destroying 81% of these UAVs.
