A woman was killed in the village of Komyshany, located in the Kherson region, following enemy artillery shelling.
The Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office said this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
“A pre-trial investigation has been launched under the procedural guidance of the Kherson District Prosecutor’s Office into the war crime that resulted in a person’s death,” the report said.
Investigators confirmed that on May 6, Russian forces targeted the village of Komyshany with artillery fire. The woman, who was in her yard at the time, sustained fatal injuries.
Additionally, the Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that a 39-year-old Kherson resident, wounded in Russian shelling on May 1, sought medical attention at a hospital. She suffered a mine-blast injury and concussion but received the necessary treatment and will continue recovery on an outpatient basis.
