In Kharkiv region, as a result of a Russian strike on Velykyi Burluk, Kupiansk district, on May 7, buses of the Prolisok humanitarian mission, which operate social routes in frontline settlements, were damaged.
This was reported by the head of the organization Yevhen Kaplin on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
“Two minibuses “Prolisok” came under fire, which provided social transportation of residents of the border villages of Serednyi Burluk, Shypuvate, Kanivtseve, Chorne, Prykolotne, which do not have ATMs, pharmacies, shops and other social and administrative services to the community center of Velykyi Burluk. Fortunately, at the time of the shelling, the driver had already finished disembarking passengers,” the post reads.
According to Kaplin, the hit occurred at a distance of about 100 meters from the location of the minibuses, they were damaged by a blast wave and debris.
The Russians struck Velykyi Burluk on May 7 at about 9:30 a.m., according to preliminary data, an Iskander missile was used. Private houses were damaged.
As reported, the Prolisok mission carries out social transportation of people in the Kupiansk district. In January, the UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Tom Fletcher visited the frontline Kindrashivska community to see how one of the routes works and talked to the passengers of the social bus.
