Ukraine is ready for any format of negotiations if it helps to achieve a just peace, but we will not give Russia any chance to deceive.

Head of the Presidential Office Andrii Yermak wrote about this in his Telegram channel, Ukrinform reports.

“In an interview with Die Welt and Bild, he spoke about the upcoming meeting in Turkey,” he wrote.

According to Andrii Yermak, Ukraine is ready for any format of negotiations if it helps to achieve a just peace.

“President Zelensky has clearly stated that he will go to Turkey, even if he has to talk directly to Putin. We have no illusions about the Kremlin’s true intentions, but we will not give Russia any chance to deceive. Negotiations are possible only under a complete ceasefire – no missiles, no drones, no terror,” the OP leader said.

In his opinion, Putin’s visit is a litmus test for the whole world. If not, the world must respond with sanctions and real pressure. Because Russia understands only the language of force. We expect specifics, not statements: tough sanctions against Russia’s oil, gas, and financial system should be imposed immediately if Moscow disrupts the possibility of peace.

President Trump, despite being busy, has sent a clear signal: he supports the talks and is even considering coming to Istanbul. This is important – such pressure can force Putin to appear.

“Why are we ready for a dialog, even with the enemy? Because we understand that the people of Ukraine deserve a chance for peace. Like the Mossad officers who caught Eichmann, we act not out of emotion, but out of duty to our country,” Andrii Yermak wrote.

We do not trade territories. We are open to a serious dialogue – after silence, with guarantees, with clear control mechanisms, he emphasizes.

In addition, Ukraine does not need anyone else’s demands for elections. “We will hold them – fairly, transparently and when it is safe for all citizens,” Andrii Yermak said.

As Ukrinform previously reported, Head of the Presidential Office Andrii Yermak said that President Donald Trump and the United States would not want to be in a process that does not have a successful conclusion.
