Ukrainian forces down 80 Russian drones, 42 others lost from radar

The Defense Forces of Ukraine have shot down 80 Russian drones, while 42 additional enemy UAVs were lost from tracking.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram.

Starting at 19:30 on Tuesday, May 13, Russia attacked Ukraine with an Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missile from temporarily occupied Crimea and 145 strike UAVs of Shahed type, as well as various types of decoy drones launched from Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, Shatalovo, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.

The air assault was countered by Ukrainian Air Force aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare (EW) teams, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

As of 9:00 on Wednesday, May 14, a total of 80 drones were confirmed shot down across eastern, northern, western, and central Ukraine.

As many as 42 enemy decoy drones were lost from tracking with no negative consequences.

The aftermath of the attack was recorded in Sumy, Kharkiv, Odesa, Donetsk, and Kirovohrad regions.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, two people were injured in Rivne region this morning as a result of a Russian air attack.
