Russian airstrike on Kupiansk kills civilian

A Russian airstrike on Kupiansk on May 14 claimed the life of a 63-year-old man.

The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office said this in a statement on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

“According to the investigation, on May 14 at approximately 10:30, the Russian army carried out another airstrike on a residential area in Kupiansk,” the agency stated. “A 63-year-old man, who was at his residence at the time, was killed. Preliminary findings indicate that the attack involved a FAB-1500 bomb equipped with the UMPK guidance system.”

Authorities have launched a pre-trial investigation into a war crime that led to a civilian’s death (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

As reported, on May 13, a guided missile strike on the village of Nechvolodivka in the Kupiansk district killed two people and injured four others, according to previous reports.
