President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with President of the European Council António Costa and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.
This was reported by the press service of the Office of the President of Ukraine, according to Ukrinform.
It is noted that Zelensky briefed them on the negotiations between the Ukrainian and Russian delegations in Istanbul and called for increased pressure on Russia should it refuse to agree to a full and unconditional ceasefire.
The President thanked the EU for preparing the 17th package of sanctions against the Russian Federation and noted that Ukraine expects its adoption next week. Zelensky also added that the next sanctions package should include key sectors of the Russian economy: banking, oil, energy, metallurgy, and the shadow fleet.
