
On the morning of May 18, a 70-year-old man was killed in Vesele, Kherson region, following a Russian drone attack.
According to the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation has been opened under Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for a war crime resulting in the death of a civilian.
“On May 18, 2025, at approximately 10:50, Russian forces launched an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attack on a street in Vesele, Kherson region,” the statement reads.
The explosive strike inflicted life-threatening injuries on the 70-year-old victim, ultimately leading to his death.
Prosecutors and investigators continue to document war crimes committed by Russian forces.
As reported, on May 18, in Kherson, a Russian drone dropped explosives on a civilian car, injuring two people.
