Over the past week, 18 online auctions for the sublease of state-owned land were held through the Prozorro.Sale system under the “Land Bank” program, generating UAH 5.2 million (+ UAH 1 million in VAT).
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine said this in a statement seen by Ukrinform.
The lots were located in the Sumy, Mykolaiv, Zhytomyr, and Kharkiv regions, covering a total of 381.8 hectares.
A total of 64 bids were submitted. The average sublease cost per hectare was UAH 13,677. Overall, land prices increased fourfold during bidding.
“The most expensive plot this week was in the Kharkiv region, measuring 63.1 hectares. Its starting price rose more than sixfold during the auction to UAH 1.99 million. The price per hectare reached UAH 31,471,” the ministry said.
Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Vitalii Koval stated that the auction results demonstrate the effectiveness of the “Land Bank” program and the Prozorro.Sale system, which opens up new opportunities for the development of the agricultural sector and local communities.
