Russian forces strike Sumy region 135 times in 24 hours, casualties reported

During the day, from the morning of May 18 to the morning of May 19, the Russian army struck 135 times in Sumy region, causing casualties, two people were wounded.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration in Telegram.

In the Esman community, a local resident was injured as a result of mortar shelling. In Shostka community, one person was injured as a result of a UAV strike.

Between the morning of May 18 and the morning of May 19, Russians struck 135 times at 24 settlements in 14 territorial communities in Sumy region.

Most attacks were recorded in Sumy, Shostka and Konotop districts.

The enemy launched almost 10 attacks with guided aerial bombs and made 60 drops of explosive ordnance from UAVs.

The Russians also launched a missile attack.

In Shostka community, non-residential premises and a car were damaged, in Konotop community – non-residential premises, in Khotyn community – residential buildings were damaged.

According to the RMA, a 44-year-old security guard of an enterprise in Shostka community was injured as a result of a UAV strike on the night of May 19. Four houses were damaged.

In addition, a 47-year-old resident of the Esman community was wounded last night.

Both were hospitalized. They are being provided with medical assistance.

As Ukrinform reported, the infrastructure of one of the enterprises in the Shostka community was damaged as a result of an attack by Russian drones on the night of May 19.
