Nineteenth-century anchor found on Khortytsia

A nineteenth-century anchor was found on the coast of Khortytsia Island in Zaporizhzhia.

This was reported in Telegram by the press service of the Khortytsia National Reserve, Ukrinform reports.

“Employees of the restoration department of the Khortytsia National Reserve found a nineteenth-century anchor on the island’s coast and handed it over to the Museum of Shipping,” the statement reads.

As noted, the museum has the largest collection of anchors in Ukraine.

The Khortytsia National Reserve appeals to residents of Zaporizhzhia to report any artifacts they find.

Earlier it was reported that the employees of the Khortytsia National Reserve decided to recreate the ancient process of building a longboat.
