Andriy Yermak, Head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine, held a phone call with national security advisers from key European nations.

That’s according to a statement released by the Presidential Office, as cited by Ukrinform

“Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak held a phone call with National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Jonathan Powell; Foreign Policy and Security Advisor to the Federal Chancellor of Germany, Günter Sautter; Diplomatic Advisor to the President of France, Emmanuel Bonne; and Diplomatic Advisor to the President of the Council of Ministers of Italy, Fabrizio Saggio,” the statement reads.

During the conversation, Yermak provided an update on a prisoner exchange, revealing that 390 Ukrainians—including 270 military personnel and 120 civilians—had been returned home. This marked the first stage of an agreement, negotiated in Türkiye, for a 1,000-for-1,000 exchange.

The parties also coordinated further actions aimed at pressuring Russia into a ceasefire, seen as a necessary step for initiating negotiations toward a just and lasting peace in Ukraine.

Yermak expressed gratitude to EU countries and the United Kingdom for approving new sanctions against Russia, targeting its shadow fleet and defense-industrial complex.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, Yermak also held an online discussion with diplomatic representatives from the leaders of Nordic and Baltic states.
