
On May 23, Russian forces killed two civilians and wounded 13 others in the Kherson region.
That’s according to Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, as reported by Ukrinform.
“Due to Russian aggression, two people were killed and 13 others were injured,” Prokudin stated in a Telegram post.
The city of Kherson and 36 other settlements in the region were subjected to drone attacks, artillery shelling, and airstrikes. Russian forces targeted critical infrastructure, social facilities, and residential areas, damaging three high-rise buildings and 12 private houses.
The occupiers also destroyed a sports ground and a garage.
During a nighttime drone attack, Ukraine’s Air Defense Forces shot down one Shahed-131/136 drone over the region.
As previously reported, on May 22, Russian aggression in Kherson resulted in three fatalities and six injuries.
