
Late on May 23, Russian forces struck residential areas in Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region, with a FAB bomb, killing a woman and injuring three other civilians.
This was reported on Telegram by the Information Policy Department of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, according to Ukrinform.
“On May 23, 2025, at 22:40, enemy forces dropped a FAB-250 bomb equipped with an UMPC (universal planning and correction module) on the residential area of Kostiantynivka. As a result of the airstrike, a 47-year-old woman sustained injuries incompatible with life. Her 53-year-old husband suffered a blast injury, lacerations to the thigh and forearm. At the time of the strike, the couple was inside their home,” the statement said.
According to the report, one civilian was killed and three others were injured as a result of the Russian attack.
Additionally, two local residents aged 65 and 88 from a neighboring house were taken to the hospital. They were diagnosed with blast injuries and lacerations. One of them also suffered a concussion.
The injured received medical assistance.
Moreover, six private households, a vehicle, and power and gas supply lines were damaged in the attack.
As previously reported, on May 23, Russian forces killed four and injured eight civilians in Donetsk region.
