As many as 83 cases of hepatitis A have already been registered in Kyiv.
Serhii Chumak, the chief state sanitary doctor of Kyiv and director general of the Kyiv City Center for Disease Control and Prevention, said this in comments to Ukrinform.
“As of the morning of May 26, a total of 83 cases have been registered, including 37 children. Twenty-five individuals are currently receiving inpatient treatment, 11 of whom are children,” Chumak said.
Earlier reports said that an outbreak of hepatitis A had been recorded in Kyiv’s Solomianskyi district.
