
A series of explosions occurred in Kharkiv during an air raid alert. Hits were recorded on a civilian enterprise and a residential building, causing fires. One person was killed, and several were injured.
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“According to our Situational Center, a Shahed-type UAV struck a civilian enterprise in the Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv. The attack caused a large fire,” the post reads.
Later, Terekhov reported another strike in the central part of the city.
“Enemy UAV strikes have been recorded in the Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv. Preliminary reports indicate that six UAVs hit the territory of a civilian enterprise. Additional strikes were recorded in the Osnovianskyi district. Preliminary information suggests there are casualties,” Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, posted on Telegram at 03:54.
“Kharkiv is under a massive, combined air attack. More than ten Shaheds hit the city. Preliminary information indicates several missile and guided aerial bomb strikes. Casualties have been reported,” the mayor wrote at 03:59.
At 04:02, Terekhov stated that a high-rise residential building in the Osnovianskyi district had been hit, causing a fire.
“As a result of the strike in the city center, two people were injured, including a one-and-a-half-month-old infant,” Terekhov reported at 04:12.
Later, the mayor confirmed that a Shahed drone struck a high-rise building in the city center, causing fires in several apartments.
“Another injured person sought medical assistance in the Osnovianskyi district of Kharkiv,” Syniehubov wrote at 04:20.
“A residential building in the city center is on fire, with apartments burning from the 6th to the 9th floor. Preliminary information indicates people are trapped under the rubble,” Terekhov reported at 04:23.
According to the mayor, Kharkiv is currently experiencing the most intense attack since the start of the full-scale war.
“As of now, over the past hour and a half, there have been at least 40 explosions in the city. The enemy is striking simultaneously with missiles, Shaheds, and guided aerial bombs. According to the Air Force, more Shaheds remain in the suburbs. The threat is not over,” Terekhov added.
At 04:41, the mayor said six people had been injured in the city center.
“The number of people injured in the drone attack on Kharkiv has risen to seven,” Syniehubov reported at 04:52.
At 05:17, Syniehubov said three people were injured as a result of a Shahed strike in the Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv.
“In the Kyivskyi district, we have information about two Shahed strikes: one hit a private house, the other hit a higher education institution,” Terekhov wrote at 05:21.
At 05:27, the mayor stressed that one person was killed and another injured in the strike on a private house in the Kyivskyi district.
“Three more people were injured in the Kyivskyi district during the drone attack,” Syniehubov added at 05:55.
“According to preliminary estimates from our Situational Center, Kharkiv was attacked with 48 Shaheds, two missiles, and four guided aerial bombs,” Terekhov posted at 05:57.
Earlier reports said that the Russian army attacked Kharkiv for an hour using a missile, two guided aerial bombs, and Tornado-S multiple launch rocket systems.
