Another Ukrainian actor, Yuriy Felipenko, killed in action as part of Ukraine’s Army

An actor from the Kyiv Academic Drama Theater in Podil, Yuriy Felipenko, was killed by Russian invaders while defending the country on the frontline.

His spouse Kateryna Motrych reported this on her Instagram page.

“Yura died. Yura was, without exaggeration, my world, my soul, my light. It’s impossible to convey this loss. I feel like I’ve been destroyed,” she wrote.

After the full-scale invasion, the actor joined the ranks of the Territorial Defense in Kyiv, volunteered to help the military.

Last year, Yuriy joined the ranks of the Armed Forces. The actor was part of the Achilles Assault Battalion at the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade.

He was 32 years old.

After graduating from the Karpenko-Karyi Kyiv National University of Theater, Film and Television in 2016, Felipenko played various roles in the Kyiv Academic Drama Theater in Podil. He also dubbed international movies.

In addition, the actor is known to the audience for his roles in Ukrainian TV series “The Color of Passion”, “The Color of Revenge”, “A Promise to God”, and others.

In June 2024, Yuriy Felipenko told Ukrinform in an interview he loved military service as much as he loved his acting career.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, Nazar Malik, an officer with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, an actor with the Creative Association “Night at the University”, was killed in action.
