On Father’s Day, Lviv honors memory of dads killed by Russia

The Dear Angel action was held outside Lviv’s Garrison Church on June 15 as Ukraine marks Father’s Day. The event was dedicated to children who lost their fathers to the Russian war.

This is reported by an Ukrinform correspondent.

The remembrance event kicked off with Zoia Zhuravka, a laureate of the fifth intercontinental radio festival “Sing in Your Native Language”, reciting a short story authored for the date. Children made postcards for their fallen fathers, and released into the sky white balloons, writing something on them for their parents.
