Following Russia’s morning attack on Odesa, rescuers have found the body of a woman under the rubble, and the number of those injured has increased to 17, including a pregnant woman and a 17-year-old girl.
Law enforcement continues documenting the consequences of Russia’s armed aggression, Odesa Regional Governor Oleh Kiper posted on Telegram.
“Unfortunately, the body of a 60-year-old woman was found under the rubble. My sincere condolences to her family and loved ones,” he wrote.
Kiper added that the search for another woman is ongoing: “We hope rescuers will find her alive.”

According to him, 17 people were injured in the morning Russian strike, including a pregnant woman and a 17-year-old girl. One person has been hospitalized, while others are receiving outpatient care after medical assistance.
He noted that Russian forces destroyed residential buildings in Odesa’s historic city center, as well as a kindergarten and an inclusive education center. Emergency services are continuing to clear the debris, and all relevant agencies are working on-site. Law enforcement is documenting yet another war crime by Russian forces targeting civilians in Odesa.

Odesa Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov, in turn, wrote on Facebook that the enemy struck a densely populated residential area.
“The historic center is the memory and spirit of Odesa. Every creaking floorboard in these buildings holds a story, and the small courtyards have witnessed thousands of conversations. Neighbors here have known each other for decades — since childhood. Today, this neighborhood looks different. The enemy struck a densely built residential area,” his post reads.
Trukhanov also said that none of the wounded are in critical condition.
Earlier reports stated that 13 people were injured in the morning Russian attack on Odesa.
