Man killed in Chernihiv region after enemy drone attack

In the Nizhyn district of the Chernihiv region, a man was killed and houses were destroyed and damaged as a result of an attack by Russian drones.

According to Ukrinform, the National Police of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.

“This evening, the Russians carried out an attack on the Nizhyn community. The strikes caused destruction and damage to residential buildings,” the report said.

According to law enforcement officials, one man born in 1958 is known to have been killed.

Police, rescuers, and other emergency services are working at the sites of the enemy attacks.

In turn, Viacheslav Chaus, head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, reported that Russian drones attacked the Nizhyn district in the evening. “One fatality is known. It is a civilian man,” he added.

According to the head of the Regional Military Administration, residential buildings, a farm building, and a garage were destroyed and damaged in the village.

As reported by Ukrinform, on the evening of Saturday, June 21, an air raid alert was declared in a number of regions of Ukraine due to the threat of Russian drones. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned of UAVs in the central and southern parts of Chernihiv region.
