There were 171 combat engagements between the Defense Forces of Ukraine and Russian troops over the past day. The enemy launched the most attacks in the Pokrovsk sector, with increased activity also recorded in the Lyman sector.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, publishing operational information as of 08:00 on Sunday, June 22, according to Ukrinform.
According to clarified data, Russian forces launched five missile and 82 air strikes yesterday on positions of Ukraine’s Defense Forces and populated areas, using, in particular, 14 missiles and 140 guided aerial bombs.
The invaders also employed 3,410 kamikaze drones, carried out 6,366 artillery shellings, 88 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems.
Enemy airstrikes targeted, in particular, the areas of Komisarove, Hlyboke, Pokaliane, Kreidianka, Artilne, and Mylove in Kharkiv region; Novoekonomichne, Sukhyi Yar, Novotoretske, Pankivka, Shakhove, Volodymyrivka, Boikivka, Koptieve, Novopavlivka, Novopil, Voskresenka, Novokhatske, Zoria, Zaporizhzhia, and Zelenyi Hai in Donetsk region; Olhivske, Novodarivka, Malynivka, Lobkove, and Stepnohirsk in Zaporizhzhia region; and Kozatske in Kherson region.
Over the past day, Ukrainian missile troops and artillery struck 21 targets of the Russian army, including 12 clusters of personnel, weapons, and military equipment; seven rocket and artillery systems; and one ammunition depot.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, the Ukrainian defenders repelled 17 enemy attacks over the past day. Russian forces in these sectors carried out strikes using 26 guided aerial bombs and conducted 260 shellings, eight of which were from multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the Russians unsuccessfully attempted to advance nine times near Vovchansk, Kamianka, Krasne Pershe, Fiholivka, and towards Lyptsi.
In the Kupiansk sector, the Russian invaders launched five attacks yesterday. The Ukrainian defenders repelled enemy assault operations near Zahryzove and Holubivka.
In the Lyman sector, 21 combat engagements occurred. Russian forces attempted to advance near Hrekivka, Ridkodub, Yampolivka, Zelena Dolyna, and Torske, as well as towards Cherneshchyna, Olhivka, Novyi Mir, and Karpivka.
In the Siversk sector, the Ukrainian defenders repelled 15 enemy attacks near Verkhniokamianske, Hryhorivka, and towards Serebrianka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian troops carried out 11 attacks near Chasiv Yar, Bila Hora, Stupochky, and Predtechyne.
In the Toretsk sector, the invaders launched 15 attacks on Ukrainian units near Dyliivka, Toretsk, and Shcherbynivka, as well as towards Yablunivka and Rusyn Yar.
In the Pokrovsk sector over the past day, Ukraine’s Defense Forces repelled 53 Russian assault actions near Myrne, Malynivka, Myroliubivka, Promin, Nova Poltavka, Lysivka, Dachenske, Shevchenkove, Udachne, Orikhove, Kotliarivka, and Zvirove, and toward Zelenyi Kut, Pokrovsk, Poltavka, Novopavlivka, Myrnohrad, Shakhove, and Oleksiivka.
In the Novopavlivka sector, the Ukrainian defenders repelled nine enemy attacks in the areas of Myrne, Shevchenkove, Vilne Pole, and Novopil.
In the Huliaipole sector, no combat engagements were recorded throughout the day.
In the Orikhiv sector, the Ukrainian defenders repelled three Russian attacks near Novoandriivka and Kamianske.
In the Prydniprovske sector, Russian forces attempted to advance four times, without success.
In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, no signs of enemy offensive group formation were detected.
As reported by Ukrinform, over the past day, Ukraine’s Defense Forces eliminated 1,100 Russian invaders and nearly three hundred units of enemy equipment.
