The Finnish government announced on Monday that it is preparing a new military aid package for Ukraine worth EUR 143 million.
That is according to Yle, citing an official government press release relayed by Ukrinform.
It is noted that the value of this package is estimated at approximately EUR 143 million, which will bring the total value of defense assistance provided by Finland to Ukraine to EUR 2.8 billion.
Finnish Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen (NCP) stated that the upcoming aid will include defense equipment manufactured in Finland.
The Finnish Ministry of Defense has launched a program this spring that allocates military equipment orders for Ukraine among domestic defense companies.
“Finnish equipment is of high quality and it has been proven to work in harsh conditions,” Häkkänen said in a press release.
As with previous military aid announcements, the ministry did not disclose specific contents, delivery methods, or timelines for the new package.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, Finland has delivered 66 shipments of aid to Ukraine’s energy sector since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
