War update: 118 clashes reported, heavy Russian losses near Pokrovsk

On June 25, Ukrainian Defense Forces engaged in 118 combat clashes with Russian forces along the frontlines, with the Pokrovsk sector remaining the most intense, where the enemy attempted 40 assaults.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an evening update posted on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

“Since the beginning of the day, there have been 118 engagements. The enemy carried out 54 airstrikes, dropping 80 guided bombs. In addition, Russian forces launched 1,129 kamikaze drones and conducted 4,126 shelling attacks on Ukrainian positions and populated areas,” the statement reads.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian forces repelled 11 attacks, with three more ongoing. The Russians launched eight airstrikes, dropping 20 glide bombs, and carried out 214 shellings, including seven MLRS strikes.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions seven times near Vovchansk and Lyptsi; two clashes are still in progress.

In the Kupiansk sector, three assaults were launched near Holubivka, Stepova Novoselivka, and Nova Kruhliakivka.

In the Lyman sector, the Russians attacked 17 times, targeting settlements like Hrekivka, Kopanky, Nadiia, Ridkodub, Kolodiazi, Zelena Dolyna, and Torske. Four attacks are ongoing.

In the Siversk sector, Ukrainian forces are repelling assaults near Verkhniokamianske and Hryhorivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, seven combat engagements were recorded, with Russian troops trying to advance toward Stupochky and Bila Hora.

In the Toretsk sector, the Russians launched 13 attacks near Toretsk, Nelipivka, Oleksandro-Kalynove, and Yablunivka. Two battles are ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian troops attempted 40 breakthroughs near Poltavka, Myrne, Koptieve, Myroliubivka, Lysivka, Zvirove, Udachne, Novoserhiivka, Novomykolaivka, Orikhove, and Oleksiivka. 10 locations are still under fire and active combat.

Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding their positions and inflicting heavy losses. In Pokrovsk sector alone, 216 Russian troops were neutralized, including 145 killed, 71 wounded, six vehicles, 15 motorcycles, one quad bike, five drones, one satellite communication terminal, four antennas, and nine drone control points were destroyed.

In the Novopavlivka sector, Ukrainian troops repelled 11 attacks, one is still underway.

In the Huliaipole sector, one attempted Russian assault near Malynivka was repelled.

In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy attempted to advance toward Novoandriivka, without success.

In the Prydniprovske sector, two failed enemy assaults ended with Russian retreat.

In other sectors, the situation remains largely unchanged.

“Today, we recognize the efforts of the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade and the 79th Border Guard Detachment, who are effectively resisting the enemy,” the General Staff concluded.
