A substantial movement of enemy armored vehicles and personnel has been observed in the temporarily occupied city of Mariupol in the Donetsk region. According to reports, Russian forces may escalate their assault attempts on the Huliaipole and Orikhiv sectors in the Zaporizhzhia region in the coming days.
This update was shared via Telegram by Petro Andriushchenko, head of the Center for the Study of Occupation and former advisor to the mayor of Mariupol, as reported by Ukrinform.
“Yesterday, a significant movement of enemy forces was recorded passing through Mariupol along the Rostov–Novoazovsk–Mariupol–Polohy axis (the Berdiansk sector). It included approximately seven rail platforms loaded with armored vehicles, including tanks, and more than 40 military trucks carrying personnel and ammunition,” the post stated.
Additionally, a separate convoy consisting of over 20 military trucks transporting troops, along with five tractors towing armored vehicles—believed to be IFVs or ICVs—was spotted along the Crimea/Kherson–Mariupol–Novoazovsk–Taganrog/Rostov route, reportedly heading toward Sumy.
“Given the reduced offensive activity by Russian forces on one front, and the successful operations of Ukraine’s Defense Forces in the Zaporizhzhia region on the other, we anticipate intensified assault attempts around Huliaipole and Orikhiv in the near future,” Andriushchenko added.
As reported, in Mariupol, Russian forces are reportedly rushing to prepare the seaport for receiving military cargo.
