Zelensky awards Duda with Order of Liberty

President Volodymyr Zelensky has awarded the Ukrainian Order of Liberty to President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda.

According to Ukrinform, the official decree (No. 439/2025), dated June 28, was published on the presidential website.

The award recognizes Duda’s outstanding personal contribution to strengthening Ukrainian-Polish cooperation, as well as his consistent support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

As earlier reported by Ukrinform, on Saturday, June 28, President Duda—whose term concludes on August 5—arrived in Kyiv for an official visit.

Following Poland’s recent presidential elections, Karol Nawrocki, head of the Institute of National Remembrance, was elected to succeed Duda and will assume office on August 6.
