The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has confirmed a strike on ammunition depots in Russia’s Bryansk region.
The General Staff said this in a statement on Facebook, as reported by Ukrinform.
As part of efforts to degrade the enemy’s offensive capabilities, units of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, in coordination with other branches of the Defense Forces, conducted a targeted strike on Russian ammunition depots on June 28.
Specifically, the attack hit storage facilities at the 1060th Logistics Center—formerly known as the 120th Arsenal of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Defense—located in Russia’s Bryansk region.
The Ukrainian military reported that the facility was successfully hit, and a fire broke out on-site. The impact and aftermath of the strike are still being assessed.
“The Defense Forces continue to take all measures to undermine the military and economic potential of the Russian invaders and force Russia to stop its armed aggression against Ukraine,” the General Staff emphasized.
As previously reported, Ukrainian drones targeted military facilities in Bryansk on June 28. According to local media outlets, loud gunfire and a series of explosions were heard across the area.
