Russian strike triggers large-scale fire at industrial site in Lviv region; parts of Drohobych lose power

A large fire broke out at an industrial infrastructure site in the Lviv region following a nighttime drone and missile attack by Russian forces. Parts of the city of Drohobych were left without electricity as a result of the strike.

The head of the Drohobych District Military Administration, Stepan Kulyniak, shared the update via Facebook, as reported by Ukrinform.

“It was a difficult night for our district. The enemy attacked us with drones and missiles. There were many explosions. Unfortunately, an industrial infrastructure site was hit, and a large-scale fire broke out,” Kulyniak stated.

All emergency services are currently working at the scene, and damage assessments are ongoing. Power engineers have been deployed to restore electricity to affected areas of Drohobych.

There have been no reports of casualties or injuries at this time.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, the Russian forces targeted critical infrastructure across the Lviv region overnight on June 29, using both drones and cruise missiles.
