Russian forces kill civilian, injure ten more in Donetsk region

On June 28, Russian shelling in the Donetsk region left one civilian dead and ten others injured.

Donetsk Regional Military Administration Head Vadym Filashkin said this in a post on Telegram, as reported by Ukrinform.

“On June 28, Russian forces killed one resident of the Donetsk region—in Pokrovsk,” Filashkin stated.

In total, 15 strikes targeted settlements across the region that day.

In Myrnohrad, three people were injured and one house was destroyed. In Pokrovsk, one person was killed, two were wounded, and an administrative building sustained damage. In Volodymyrivka, part of the Shakhove community, five houses were damaged.

In Lyman, Russian strikes damaged a residential building, a warehouse, and a commercial pavilion. In Stavky, one vehicle was reported damaged. In Kostiantynivka, two civilians were injured and a car sustained damage.

In Siversk, four residential homes were hit.

Over the past 24 hours, 247 people—including 31 children—were evacuated from the front line.

The reported casualty figures in the Donetsk region do not include the cities of Mariupol and Volnovakha, where accurate data remains unavailable.

As Ukrinform previously reported, on June 27, Russian forces killed two civilians and injured two more in the Donetsk region.
